Founder and director, Abe Brandyberry graduated from Mount Vernon Nazarene University in 2005 with a degree in Youth Ministries and Religion. With the goal of creating holistic change in the lives of individuals, families, and neighborhoods he envisioned an organization focused on education and empowerment. Cincinnati Urban Promise began in 2007. Abe has a passion for working together with members of vulnerable communities to create strong and thriving neighborhoods and families. Abe received a Masters of NonProfit Management from Eastern University in 2016.
Joni graduated from Mount Vernon Nazarene University with a degree in Psychology and Youth Ministry. Acting as Volunteer coordinator helps her to fulfill her passion for working with people and for empowering and equipping people to do their best work for God and for their communities. Joni is currently pursuing a Masters in Urban Studies with a concentration in Youth Development at Eastern University.
